The story is a running gag between ten little ducklings and naive Mrs. O’Malley who is unaware of their playful antics. Children see that life’s mishaps and misunderstandings happen to everyone, even adults. Plus the concept of counting is shown in a fun way that quickly involves the reader.

It’s up to Alfie to find a way for both frogs and birds to get along—and continue enjoying his special talent. This story with single illustration is a finalist in the 2008 4th Annual ABC’s Children’s Picture Book Competition.
